Job Title: Substance Use (SUD) Group Clinician – Florida Registered Intern (RMHCI / RCSWI / RMFTI) | Detox + Residential | Housing Provided

Employment Type: Temporary Contract (2 weeks)

Contract Dates: Monday, March 9, 2026 through Friday, March 20, 2026

Schedule: 30–40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

Location: Florida (On-site, live-in assignment)

Pay: $35–$40/hour (based on Florida intern registration type, substance use experience, and fit)

Housing Provided: Private room + private bathroom in a large home/Airbnb-style housing

Travel (Out-of-Town Candidates):

Travel fees are covered, plus an additional half-day of pay for travel time and mileage reimbursement, in addition to the hourly rate above.


Quick Summary (What You’ll Do)

  • Run 3 hours of groups per day, Monday–Friday
  • Support a small caseload of 2–3 clients across detox and residential
  • Detox: brief daily check-in with the client
  • Residential: complete one weekly session


Overview

We are seeking a Florida Registered Intern with substance use treatment experience to support a small caseload across detox and residential levels of care during a short-term assignment. This role is ideal for a clinician who is confident leading groups, communicates well with a team, and documents consistently. Documentation will be reviewed and signed by the supervising clinician, as required.


Core Responsibilities

  • Facilitate 3 hours of group programming daily (psychoeducation/process groups appropriate to substance use treatment)
  • Provide structured support and engagement for 2–3 clients across levels of care
  • Conduct daily detox check-ins (brief, focused, consistent)
  • Complete one weekly residential session
  • Coordinate with the treatment team, communicate relevant updates, and follow program policies
  • Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards


Required Qualifications (Florida)

  • Active Florida registration as one of the following:
  • Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI)
  • Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI)
  • Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI)
  • Substance use disorder treatment experience (detox and/or residential strongly preferred)
  • Strong group facilitation skills (substance abuse/SUD groups, relapse prevention, coping skills, psychoeducation)
  • Strong documentation skills (progress notes completed on time)
  • Reliable availability for the full contract window: 3/9–3/20


Preferred

  • Experience in detox, residential, PHP/IOP, or similar levels of care
  • Comfort working in a new/start-up treatment environment
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders


Potential for Extension

This is for a new treatment center. While there are no guarantees, there may be potential for long-term employment based on program needs and fit.
