Position: CT Technologist (Cat Scan Technician)

Location: McMinnville, OR 97128 (on-site)

Shift: Full-Time, Nights

Schedule: 36 hours/week

Avento Health is a recruiting agency partnering with a healthcare organization in Oregon to hire a CT Technologist (Cat Scan Technician). This is a full-time, night shift opportunity for a detail-oriented imaging professional who values patient care, quality, and teamwork.


What You’ll Do

You will perform CT imaging procedures and deliver high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and compliance with standards of practice.


Essential Functions

  • Review patient history and provider orders prior to imaging.
  • Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exam expectations to support cooperation and understanding.
  • When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition throughout the exam and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Follow safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as needed.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze images for quality and identify issues that may impact diagnostic results.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image-quality issues (including repositioning and repeating images when necessary).
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results in accordance with site protocols.


Must-Haves

  • Associate’s degree (or higher)
  • Current Radiation Operator license in the state of Oregon
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
