Position: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Cypress, TX 77433 (On-site)
Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm, with one variable weekday off
On-Call Requirements: 10–12 on-call shifts per 5-week period with a 30-minute response time required

Avento Health is a recruiting agency partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Cypress, Texas to hire an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a full-time, on-site opportunity. This role is ideal for a strong RCIS, ARRT-CV, ARRT-R, MRT, Interventional Radiology Tech, or Cardiovascular Technologist who is comfortable in a high-acuity procedural environment and interested in a broad case mix across cardiac, vascular, and body IR procedures.
Position Summary
The Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures in a combined Cardiac Cath Lab, Vascular, and Body IR setting. This is not a separate IR department, so the role supports a blended procedural environment with a variety of cardiac and interventional radiology cases. The ideal candidate brings strong Cath Lab or IR experience, sound procedural judgment, attention to detail, and a team-first approach to patient care, safety, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, and body IR procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, supplies, and sterile fields to support efficient case flow.
Maintain sterile technique and follow all patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
Support procedural workflow before, during, and after cases in coordination with nurses, physicians, and procedural staff.
Help ensure timely room turnover, equipment readiness, and accurate procedural support in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.
Participate in on-call coverage for emergent and after-hours procedures requiring rapid response.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab, interventional radiology, cardiovascular, or closely related procedural experience.
Current BLS certification.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
One of the following credentials is required: RCIS, ARRT-CV, or ARRT-R / MRT.
Ability to participate in 10–12 on-call shifts per 5-week period.
Ability to meet a 30-minute response time for call coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a combination of Cath Lab, Vascular, and IR procedures.
Experience in a hospital-based procedural setting with emergency call responsibilities.
ACLS may be accepted in place of, or in addition to, BLS depending on department requirements.
If credentialed as RCIS through CCI since 2013 or earlier, formal education may not be required per client guidelines.
Department Highlights
This lab currently supports cardiac, vascular, and body IR procedures.
The current on-call structure is not limited to STEMI-only coverage.
Cypress is expected to add Interventional Neurology in June, with on-call stroke thrombectomy beginning in October as a separate on-call team.
