Title: Data Analyst

Location: Tempe, AZ

Type: 1 Year Contract

Pay: $45-55/hr

 

This role supports a power systems engineering team by delivering data insights that help inform operational and strategic decisions. The Data Analyst will work closely with engineers and IT partners to analyze datasets, develop reporting solutions, and improve how data is structured and used across the organization. The position focuses on transforming complex technical and operational data into clear dashboards, reports, and long-term data strategies.

 

Your role:

·     Develop reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to present engineering and operational data clearly.

·     Analyze datasets to identify patterns, trends, and performance insights that support decision-making within the engineering team.

·     Design and maintain data visualizations that communicate key metrics and system performance.

·     Manage and maintain data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper governance.

·     Support improvements to internal software tools and reporting capabilities used by the engineering team.

·     Create data models that support business reporting needs, including work within Snowflake environments.

·     Integrate data from multiple systems and manage data flows between sources and reporting platforms.

·     Collaborate with IT teams on data initiatives, architecture planning, and system enhancements.

·     Contribute to the development and execution of a mid- to long-term data strategy and roadmap.

 

What you’ve got:

·     Experience working in a data analyst or business intelligence role supporting technical or engineering teams.

·     Proficiency building reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar BI tools.

·     Strong skills in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization.

·     Experience working with data warehouse or cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.

·     Understanding of data integration practices and managing multiple data sources.

·     Ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful insights for technical stakeholders.

·     Experience collaborating with IT teams on data architecture, reporting tools, or analytics initiatives.

·     Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners.

 

Preferred

·     Experience working within electric utilities, energy companies, or power systems environments.
