Title: Network Administrator
Location: Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid/Remote
Type: Full-Time Permanent
Compensation: $90,000-100,000
This role supports enterprise and distributed network environments across campus, data center, and cloud platforms. The Network Administrator manages the full lifecycle of wired, wireless, and cloud-connected infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This position partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design, implement, and maintain scalable network solutions.
Your role:
· Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure across campus, data center, and cloud environments.
· Manage MPLS-based campus networks and support cloud connectivity and SD-WAN integrations.
· Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, VPN, firewall, and load-balancing technologies.
· Monitor network performance and resolve complex issues to maintain 24/7 system availability.
· Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to assess needs, recommend solutions, and execute network projects.
· Evaluate hardware and software proposals and contribute to lifecycle planning and modernization efforts.
· Present network designs and technical recommendations to leadership using diagrams and presentation tools.
· Document configurations, processes, and architecture to support operational continuity.
· Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance on troubleshooting and implementation.
· Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
What you’ve got:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field, plus three years of professional network administration experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
· Experience supporting campus and data center technologies such as VXLAN or ACI.
· Strong troubleshooting skills including packet capture analysis and network diagnostics.
· Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Arista, Aruba, or Extreme wireless platforms.
· Familiarity with firewalls including Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
· Experience supporting VPN technologies and load balancers such as Citrix or F5.
· Working knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center and cloud networking tools.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred:
· Cisco CCNA or comparable certification.
· ITIL Foundation certification.
· AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
