About the Role:

The Junior Staff Accountant supports the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role assists with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate posting of accounting transactions.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger and subledger accounts.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of journal entries.
  • Process and code vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Post customer receipts, monitor AR aging, and assist with follow-up collections.
  • Prepare payments, reconcile vendor statements, and review credit card and bank transactions.
  • Assist with audits, testing, and financial documentation requests.
  • Support SAP and ComputerEase data clean-up and validation.
  • Track and manage company assets, expense allocations, and departmental budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (Associate’s degree with experience considered).
  • 2–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or ComputerEase preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP principles and audit support processes.
