POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Project Manager manages the deployment of new tower sites in an assigned market or geographic region. The Project Manager is directly accountable for achieving schedule commitments, customer reporting and quality assurance from search ring issuance through construction and customer Notice to Proceed (NTP).  The Project Manager manages site acquisition vendors and other resources to complete lease negotiations and all required due diligence deliverables (such as title, survey, environmental studies, zoning, construction drawings, permits) . The Project Manager works closely with Project Coordinators to ensure vendors are approved, PO’s are issued, invoices are approved, internal and external timelines are met, documents are submitted for filing and regular accurate updates are entered into the deployment tracking software. Additionally, the Project Manager is expected to be able to work effectively and efficiently across multiple internal departments, including but not limited to Real Estate, Sales, Legal and Accounting.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage multiple market projects through site acquisition, due diligence and construction.
  • Manage the vendors required to complete all the tasks associated with new site development.
  • Oversee reporting generated from vendors and Siterra.
  • Continually expand and develop already existing knowledge regarding site acquisition, due diligence, design and construction associated with tower development.
  • Work closely with and develop strong working relationships with other internal departments and external contractors/customers facilitating the overall tower development process.
  • Maintain and update the require, often aggressive, timelines required in telecommunications deployment.
  • Participate with other company staff in project and process reviews to provide ongoing improvement to company processes.
  • Participate in all deployment meetings.
  • Assist in the development of tracking tools and IT requirements to track and monitor tower development
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Demonstrated experience in the deployment of new wireless tower sites. Expert knowledge of wireless site acquisition, zoning and permitting processes.

·        Demponstrated project management skills and expertise in managing projects to strict timelines.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to report concisely and interact directly with customers in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment.

·        Creative and strategic mindset indicating capabilities to resolve problematic issues regularly arising in telecommunications deployment preferred.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Power Point.

·        Ability to provide clear direction to multiple sources on multiple projects.

·        Present willingness to perform tasks beyond standard goals and objectives.

·        Ability and willingness to travel, as needed.

·        Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently

·        Safe driving record and own transportation

·        Valid driver’s license

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Military experience, bachelor’s degree or management experience in the wireless site development industry is preferred.

·        Minimum 2- 5 years of work experience in the deployment of wireless communications sites is preferred.
