Personal Lines Account Manager – Independent Insurance Agency (Wausau, WI)

A respected independent insurance agency with multiple Wisconsin locations is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join their Wausau team. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and providing exceptional service to personal lines clients.


About the Role

The Personal Lines Account Manager partners closely with producers and clients to manage renewals, market accounts, process policy changes, and deliver tailored coverage solutions. You’ll play a key role in maintaining client satisfaction and retention by ensuring each customer receives prompt, accurate, and high-quality service.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage all aspects of personal lines accounts, including renewals, endorsements, certificates, and billing inquiries.
  • Prepare submissions and market new and renewal business to appropriate carriers.
  • Quote, analyze, and recommend coverage options tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, coverage questions, and service requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and client data in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with agents and carriers to resolve issues and streamline service processes.
  • Educate clients on policy coverage, claims procedures, and industry changes.
  • Attend client meetings or agency events as needed to support relationship development.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in personal lines account management within an independent agency setting.
  • Active Wisconsin Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines products, rating, and underwriting procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
