Job Title: Chief of Staff to the COO


Location: Remote (U.S.)


Role Overview

Our client is a high-growth enterprise software company entering an exciting stage of scale. As Chief of Staff to the COO, you'll serve as a trusted strategic partner to an executive leader, helping drive company-wide priorities, accelerate cross-functional initiatives, and support high-impact operational decisions.

This is a highly visible role designed for someone looking to transition from strategy consulting into an operating leadership position. You'll gain broad exposure across the business, collaborate with executive leadership, and play a key role in shaping strategic initiatives that influence the company's long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the COO to drive strategic priorities and executive initiatives.
  • Develop board presentations, executive communications, and leadership materials.
  • Lead cross-functional business transformation initiatives across multiple functions.
  • Manage high-priority projects from strategy through execution while ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
  • Conduct research, financial and operational analysis, and develop recommendations that support executive decision-making.
  • Coordinate company-wide strategic initiatives, tracking progress and driving accountability.
  • Improve operational effectiveness by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and execution.
  • Serve as a key liaison across executive leadership, ensuring priorities remain aligned and initiatives move forward efficiently.


Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (MBB, EY-Parthenon, Accenture Strategy, or similar).
  • Background in business transformation, business operations, corporate strategy, or organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working closely with senior executives and handling highly confidential information.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with private equity-backed organizations.
  • PMO, strategic program management, or cross-functional transformation experience.
  • Previous experience supporting executive leadership within an operating environment.
  • Experience within enterprise software or other high-growth technology companies.


Benefits and Perks

  • Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity.
