Job Title: Sales Director
Role Overview:
An early-stage application security company is opening a Sales Director role in the United States. This is a fully remote, hands-on individual contributor role for a scrappy, startup-minded seller who will own U.S. revenue and build the go-to-market from the ground up. You will sell to CISOs and security leaders, securing applications built with citizen developer tools and, increasingly, AI applications. You lead the full enterprise sales cycle yourself, from prospecting to close, and work closely with the company's leadership and R&D teams in Israel.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Kanopy's sales performance and revenue targets across the United States.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive U.S. sales strategy aligned with the company's broader business objectives.
- Build and manage a strong enterprise pipeline through direct outreach, partnerships, industry relationships, events, and other market-development activities.
- Lead the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through evaluation, negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain an active presence in the field by meeting prospects, customers, partners, and industry stakeholders across multiple U.S. regions.
- Build relationships with CISOs, security leaders, technology executives, procurement teams, and other enterprise decision-makers.
- Understand each prospect's business priorities, security challenges, organizational structure, and buying process.
- Represent Kanopy at conferences, industry events, executive meetings, and partner activities.
Qualifications & Education
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, including senior sales roles such as Sales Director, Regional Sales Director, or Enterprise Account Executive.
- A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing complex enterprise deals.
- At least 3 years of sales experience in cybersecurity, preferably in Application Security or a closely related domain.
- Demonstrated success selling across multiple U.S. regions and building relationships beyond a single local territory.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand company strategy, market dynamics, customer priorities, and commercial opportunities.
- Experience building pipeline independently and creating new business in an early-stage or category-creating environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong command of CRM and prospecting tools, such as HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Highly independent, proactive, and results-oriented, with strong ownership and execution skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the United States for customer meetings, events, and partner engagements.
If you do not meet every requirement above but believe you are the right person for the role, we encourage you to apply.
