Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Role Overview
We are partnering with a well-established company in the health and well-being services industry that provides technology-driven support solutions to organizations. The company is modernizing how it builds and ships software, moving to the cloud, standardizing CI/CD, and giving its Software Engineering teams the ability to build, deploy, and own their products end to end.
This is a high-leverage Senior DevSecOps Engineer role focused on infrastructure design and technical direction across multiple application teams, including directing AI-assisted development of pipelines and automation and validating what it produces before it ships. This is a fully remote, US-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own CI/CD and infrastructure design across supported application teams, including architecture, deployment strategy (blue/green, canary, feature flags), and the specs that direct AI-built pipelines, infrastructure code, and automation
- Decide what needs verification and validate that pipeline tests, policy-as-code, and security gates actually prove what they claim
- Build shared standards, tooling, and practices in partnership with the broader DevSecOps team, rather than one-off fixes per team
- Own application observability: instrument services, tie alerting to product SLOs, and help engineers across teams debug and resolve production issues
- Maintain accountability for reviews, deployment decisions, on-call response, and incident learnings, regardless of who or what wrote the code
- Coach engineers across supported teams on specifying, delegating to, and validating AI-generated work
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented infrastructure and automation code
Education & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience using agentic AI as a primary tool for planning and building CI/CD and infrastructure, including writing specs for AI to execute against and catching subtle errors in its output
- Proven experience building and operating production CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS or Azure), including carrying on-call load
- Experience treating testing, security, and observability as designed-in requirements rather than something a separate function catches later
- Experience working across multiple application teams and collaborating with a central DevSecOps or platform function to build practices that generalize
- Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes for application workloads (Helm or similar), serverless functions, and one or more IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM)
- Fluency in at least one modern programming language (for example, Python or Java)
- Experience building security into the pipeline by default: SAST/DAST/SCA and secrets scanning, least-privilege IAM, and encryption in transit and at rest.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience operating within regulated compliance frameworks such as HIPAA/HITRUST and SOC 2
- Experience supporting systems that handle sensitive or protected data
Why Our Client:
- Opportunity to shape how a growing engineering organization adopts AI-driven development practices
- High-leverage, high-autonomy role with real ownership of infrastructure and technical direction
- Collaborative DevSecOps team building shared standards across multiple product teams
- Fully remote position
- Stable, well-established organization investing in modernizing its technology
Compensation, Benefits and Perks:
- Base salary range: $150,000 – $200,000
- Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision
- 401(k) with match
- Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness program
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future. This position does not offer sponsorship.
