Organizational Overview: Oligo Nation

Oligo Nation exists because one family refused to accept the slow pace of progress for a devastating, overlooked disease. When founder Brock Greene learned that both of his sons had oligodendroglioma (Oligo) - an incurable brain tumor affecting approximately 20,000 patients in the US - he discovered what countless families had faced in silence: there was no urgency for a cure, limited research, and virtually no dedicated funding. In response, he has spent the last 10 years building the organization that should have existed for every family navigating this diagnosis. Today, Oligo Nation is a rapidly growing global nonprofit laser-focused on a singular mission: to bring new, more effective Oligo treatments to patients within the next 3–5 years.

Position Summary: Director of Development

Oligo Nation seeks an inaugural Executive Director to help propel the organization into its next era of growth, scientific breakthrough, and impact. Reporting to the founder, the Executive Director will take primary responsibility for revenue development, internal operations, staff management, financial oversight, and Board engagement. As the founder transitions to focus on research and scientific strategy, the Executive Director will assume responsibility for leading and professionalizing the organization across all operational and organizational functions and dramatically expand the fundraising engine needed to accelerate research.

Location, Compensation and Benefits

This is a remote position based in the United States, with some travel required for fundraising events, donor meetings, Board gatherings, and visits with research partners. Oligo Nation offers a competitive salary of $150,000–$200,000, commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits.
