About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our independent, democratic group providing emergency care at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh and UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital. For more than 30 years, REMA has provided high-quality, patient-centered emergency care while maintaining a stable, physician-led structure that values collaboration, autonomy, and career longevity.


REMA provides a collegial, team-based approach to patient care, fostering an inclusive environment where our Physician Assistants are a vital part of our group. You’ll work alongside our physicians in a collaborative practice model with ample opportunity for independent clinical decision-making, while having physician oversight readily available to support your professional growth and confidence in complex cases. Broad departmental coverage and scheduling flexibility promote long-term career satisfaction in emergency medicine.

  • UNC Rex Raleigh: 450+ beds, ~70,000 annual ED visits
  • UNC Rex Holly Springs: 75+ beds, ~35,000 annual ED visits
  • Full specialty support: hospitalist team, stroke neurology, psychiatry, and 24-hour radiology
  • 24/7 cath lab and interventional stroke team available
  • Epic EMR system with efficient workflows and excellent clinical resources
  • Short local commute between both facilities in Raleigh and Holly Springs


Qualifications

  • Current North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
