Role: Footwear Technical Consultant

Location: onsite in Manhattan

Key Responsibilities

The Footwear Technical Developer ensures the highest standards of fit, construction, and quality for all products. This role requires technical expertise to translate designs into production and resolve complex manufacturing challenges.

• Fit & Communication: Analyze fit and accurately communicate technical corrections and specifications to overseas factories. Resolve fitting and construction problems during product development.
• Construction Expertise: Review lasts, patterns, construction, and overall quality. Perform risk assessment for new constructions.
• Tooling & Standards: Evaluate Blueprint and Mock-Up molds from initial drawing to confirmation. Maintain and apply knowledge of industry standards for lasts, outsole molds, and patterns.
• Technical Support: Assist with maintaining the internal Last Library. Use Illustrator and Photoshop for technical renderings and specifications.
• Travel: Must be able to travel overseas to manufacturing facilities as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in a Footwear technical role.
• Expertise in last, outsole mold, and pattern standards.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop for technical rendering.
• Experience with 3D software and 3D printing is a plus.
