Full-Time | On-Site | Pediatrics | North Carolina


A busy, physician-led pediatric practice is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant with prior pediatric experience to join a fast-paced outpatient clinical team. This role is essential to maintaining efficient patient flow while providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and families.


This position requires a registered or certified Medical Assistant with pediatric experience and familiarity with electronic health records.


Position Highlights

  • Full-Time, On-Site Role
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
  • One late evening per week until 6:30 PM
  • One Saturday per month, 8:30 AM–12:00 PM
  • Pediatric-focused outpatient environment
  • Collaborative clinical team with experienced providers and staff


Position Overview

The Medical Assistant supports pediatric providers by preparing patients for visits, assisting with clinical care, and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the day. This position plays a key role in delivering efficient, family-centered pediatric care and reports to clinical leadership within the practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Room pediatric patients and obtain accurate vitals
  • Administer vaccines and perform laboratory tests as directed
  • Assist with patient flow to support provider efficiency
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
  • Accurately document clinical information in the EHR
  • Follow pediatric vaccination and safety protocols
  • Deliver compassionate, child-friendly patient interactions


Qualifications Education and Certification

Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required


Experience

  • Pediatric experience is required
  • Prior experience working in a clinical outpatient setting
  • EHR experience required
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Strong pediatric vital signs and vaccine administration skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume pediatric environment
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and patient-focused
