ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to assigned Producer(s)
- Client Relationships – assist clients with all policy and coverage questions on a day-to-day basis
- Maintain client files in Applied Epic in an orderly and up-to-date manner according to Agency standards
- Effectively manage Epic Home Page, to include timely Activity review, documentation and processing
- Assist in marketing new and renewal business, negotiate rates, review coverages for competitiveness and accuracy, assist in presenting to clients as needed
- Prepare documents for renewal terms, including proposals, Acord forms, Binders, and Certificates of Insurance
- Review issued policies for accuracy and appropriate coverages
- Manage new business workflow
- Comprehend and interpret Insurance Contract requirements for Certificates
- Manage renewal list – work renewals in a timely manner and report on status
- Manage invoicing and account receivables
- Claims – walk clients through process, including claim submission, follow-up and overall communication
- Carrier Relationships – establish relationships with key carrier Marketing & Underwriting contacts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- External candidates should have 2-4 years of related Account Manager experience.
- 2-4 years of Small Business Experience
- Understanding of property & casualty coverages, knowledge of underwriting and rating procedures
- High School Graduate (college degree preferred or work-related experience)
- Must hold a valid Property & Casualty Insurance license
- Related industry designation preferred / Desire to pursue industry designation (CIC, CISR, CPRM, CPCU, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Applied EPIC
