  • About us: Launched in 2020, Gritty In Pink is a dynamic platform advocating for gender equity in the music industry. Starting as a live event series, it quickly pivoted to a virtual format during the pandemic, hosting over 200 female musicians in online fundraisers. Gritty In Pink has evolved into a comprehensive initiative with the INPINK marketplace, connecting female and gender-expansive music industry professionals with employment opportunities.

Who Are You? 

 

Are you passionate about music, gender equity, and making meaningful connections? Gritty In Pink is looking for a dynamic Business Development Intern to help grow our community and expand our partnerships. In this role, you’ll assist with outreach, research, and strategy to drive business opportunities. You'll work closely with our team to identify potential sponsors, industry collaborators, and brand partners while supporting CRM management, sales materials, and event coordination. If you're a go-getter who loves networking, problem-solving, and making an impact in the music industry, we’d love to hear from you! 


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Assist in developing and executing business strategies to drive company growth. 
  • Support outreach efforts by identifying and contacting potential partners or clients. 
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and sales materials for meetings. 
  • Assist in managing CRM systems and tracking business development activities. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns and lead generation.
  • Help organize and attend networking events, meetings, and industry conferences. 
  • Analyze competitor activity and provide insights to improve business strategies. 
  • Support administrative tasks related to business development projects. 
  • Contribute ideas and innovative solutions to improve business operations. 

 

Qualifications


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Comfortable with large data sets - Attention to detail in working with internal systems 
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new information as it relates to improving processes 
  • Must be independent, self-motivated, and success-driven, yet willing to work within a team environment. 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Subsidy Role Information 


Subsidy roles require students to have an Los Angeles County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):


  • Identification (School or State ID)
  • Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name)
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption
  • Work Permit (Required for Youth between the ages of 16-17 only)
  • The Youth Center (AJCC) WILL BE PAYING YOU for 160 completed hours.
  • You will be required to submit Timesheets to your YOUTH CENTER (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.


*NOTE IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY POSITION (ACADEMY/INTERNSHIP). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR SUBSIDY ROLES UNTIL JULY 2025*
